What would your reaction be if the next call of duty had mechs just like titanfall but used kill streaks in stead of burn cards. This would be the next modern warfare but with a new twist. They could also add A.I. to shoot. I wouldn't put Activision past this.

They'll probably be indifferent and flock to it like usual just because it has "Call of Duty" slapped on it.

 

Even the abysmal Call of Duty: Black Ops - Declassified sold a load of copies. :I

I'm hoping Call of Duty finally starts to decline in numbers so much so that Activision put the game on an indefinite hiatus.

That would be something lol. Although I do think TitanFall will push Activision to change up something simply because they essentially grabbed the gameplay that worked for COD and added a whole lot of new to it making COD feel even more old than it already is.

This is inevitable being an Activision franchise; they milk a series for all its worth until there is no heart or soul left in the game and run it into the ground until they squeeze every last dime from it.... then once the franchise is completly blown out like a cheap sunday whore, they leave it to rot and die in the street (Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero)

Call of Duty hasn't died because there isn't an online competitive game out there that works in the quick short bursts it provides. The other key point is that it is an action shooter, a genre that holds a high attention spam over the masses.

It's gonna take a little more than milking, a lack of originality and mass marketing and download practices to kill this franchise.
