I hope it has a proper overworld like Lego City. The overworld in SM3DW was pathetic.

Super Mario 3D World was the best, but if they made a Super Mario 64 styled game using the SM3DW engine, that would be game of the year material.

I disagree. They don't. Its Nintendo's signature franchise and one that has sold more then any other in video game history. It's what makes Nintendo what it is more then anything else. If you're tired of them then don't buy them.

Yes but they've already released two Mario games on the Wii U already within a year. This system already has LOTS of platformers. They have other franchises and there are other genres.

No one is saying it'll be out soon. I'm saying three more years till we see it.

And I'm saying change it up a bit. I love Mario, but we already have two games plus dlc for him.

This doesn't stop them from working on other new games of new IP's. Nintendo has enough resources to do that. Besides they still haven't released a true 3D Mario game in the same style as Mario Galaxy, Mario Sunshine and Mario 64. That's what I really want to play. Super Mario 3D World whilst a great game wasn't a true 3D game. That's what they should have done in the first place for their first game on the Wii U.

3D world is the first Mario I liked since Mario 64. It blended the best of two worlds. The 2D Mario overworld and Mario 64 gameplay. It also because WiiU has the power it does is the first time I see Nintendo games look as detailed and charming and colorful as they did on SNES. I woould love it if they made another one just like it. 3D world is the most proper one yet in 3D.
