So, I dunno if this really counts or not, but... Here's a remix of some Smash 64 music that we heard in the Smash Direct.

 

 

Even if this doesn't appear in the game, I don't care. This song and the memories I've attached to it are too good to not mention.

Love this game. It's a passionate wet love letter to Rastan in Arcades/Sega Master System and that was a love letter to Conan. Also like Rastan hard as balls

Yeah. Saga's not for everyone, I cant stand the saga series. I feel like it took everything from the jrpg genre that I strongly dislike but tolerate to get to the good stuff, focused exclusively on it, and removed all the goodstuff.

Nothing but being guided from point a to b, in identical looking hallways or square environments, and tons of cutscenes and melodrama that dont have any appeal because the player never did anything intrinsically/interactively in the game world for them to have any value or meaning. Takahashi apparently felt this particularly strongly, as he said xenoblade would specifically not repeat the mistakes saga made, which he felt lead to a very short path to a 'dead end in videogames'.

Which hes absolutely right, the cinematic approach to videogames is a dead end. No further progress will be made going down that road.

But Saga sure did have some fantastic music.

This tune has a hold on me. It makes me nostalgic for the Super Nintendo a sa whole not just SMK and to some extend the 16 bit era (best era)

So when Nintendo started putting this music in the more recent MK's I had a nerdgasm and I wanted 3D world alone for that one level.
