Hahaha if only that fairy tale opening was less of a turn off. I think I mentioned my experiences earlier, but I really agree with the post that says you need to at least make it to episode 3. I almost wanted to stop after the first but felt like it wasn't a fair chance because it was a two parter. The second redeemed itself a bit but I was still reluctant, which convinced me to give it "one more chance" with episode 3... Only to find me marathoning half of the first season in one go. xD

The Round Stable My Little Pony News website has reported that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 3 will start in November with a source being a Hasbro promotional email. A Tweet from the Hub has also said that the starting date will be announced before 20 October. I'm surprised that nobody has said in this thread yet season 3 starts next week on 10 November with the two part episode The Crystal Empire. Since I live in the UK I will be watching it on YouTube or iTunes after it has aired.

^Speaking of that, I totally managed to catch it on YouTube practically 30 minutes after it aired on the Hub.

The episode was fantastic, but it would've been better if King Sombra had dialogue other than "GRAGRAUUUH CRYSTALS GRAUUUUUH SLAVES".

The premier could've been better. I get that Sombero was supposed to be more of a constant "presence" sort of threat, and that once he infiltrated it basically meant game over... So it was "okay" for him to sit on his smokey butt and growl all day. But I agree that he needed more characterization, even if he himself didn't get any more lines.

Also wanted to facepalm at RD being overly aggressive... and Shining throwing his wife wtf lol. Looking forward to more eps.
