I didn't really follow FireRed, mostly because it was a randomizer. I'm going to pay more attention to Platinum though. I mostly check out the stories that reddit makes about it.

i wonder how long this will last. i will say they have gotten faster, but i think that was do to democracy getting used more in later games.
more interested in the stories afterwords, and occasinally check in to see what happened, cared most about the original play through.

I don't see the appeal of actually joining in with the commands, you probably never actually see what you write happen as you want it to so it seems pointless.
If you're just a viewer you get to see someone randomly opening the pause menu and walking back and forth which to me is boring.
No idea how it actually took off tbh
