... For emerging markets. I am hoping they start making their "one platform, many devices" with this new hardware and they can properly support all this hardware.

This is the Quality of Life they've been going on about
They still haven't told us what it's even about :s
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

At tops, it`s a Wii.
Home console or portable remains to be seen.
They already have VC games, Indie games and Wii games - NDS if it has a screen - tu support it for a long time.
Now, if you add to this announcement the registration on the Korea Radio Research Administration for a "vídeo player", we might be seeing something in the veins of a handheld - that could even plug to a TV.

I don't get why there's an exclamation mark in the title of this thread, probably just a Wii U Mini or something XD

Add me on Wii U if you want to settle it in Smash

Maybe Nintendo is floating a trial balloon like it did the DS, third pillar and such. I would be tempted to buy something like the Amazon Fire TV combo, tablet, phone and streaming/gaming box. They should just rip-off the Amazon ecosystem and slap Nintendo on it and call it good. Both Amazon and Nintendo are chasing the causal market so copying what Amazon is doing in their space.

Probably not the QoL system or anything else. It's probably just an iQue type of Wii or DS, maybe Wii U.

No, it isn't... QoL is nothing to do with video games. This is the Quality of Life they've been going on about

Like the 2ds version of the wii u.
The same emerging markets that have access to cheap tablets?
Nintendo is really scraping here.
I think iwatas problem is that he doesn't have bold vision.
He wants big reward for little risk. Like the wii situation.
But that's a rare lightning strike. And it's obviously not striking twice.
This kind of crap is what is going to hurt Nintendo.
I'd love to see them grab the bull by the proverbial horns and throw it to the ground.
But nope... They hide in a corner and throw pebbles.
The wii u started with a somewhat bold vision. But even internally, they seem to have lost enthusiasm.
I am afraid it appears Nintendo is in for another couple years of hurt coming up. Iwata just seriously doesn't get it.
Seriously sad right now.

An Emerging Market is a second/third world country, silly goose. For crying out loud it even says right there in plain English "emerging markets". are you blind? No where does it state or do I state it's video game related
Examples of Emerging Markets: Brazil, China, Nigeria, India, etc.
What you think it means is something along the lines of a niche market, or new product idea.

Well it's not a redesigned Wii U, according to Iwata.

Yes, thank you.
People, PEOPLE:
blind frothing, hysterical mindless people,
Iwata specifically stated during the financial meeting this information is misinterpereted from by gamz girnolizts, SPECIFICALLY, that this new platform would not be a cheaper dumbed down version of something that already exists.

Last time they said they wouldn't release a 3Ds XL in the near future, guess what came after that. So I'm scepticWell it's not a redesigned Wii U, according to Iwata.

What?Ok... so exactly how does emerging market = Video games? Seeing as that's what you think i'm talking about.
The market Nintendo are in is video games.
They are trying to diversify with a QoL product in the next 3 years.
Currently, an emerging market such as China, who just recently lifted their ban on foreign video game consoles, presents a huge opportunity in the market of video games
.
The term emerging market, is being used in this article to reflect the emerging video game market, as it's what is relevant to the conversation, people leave out certain words as it is globally understood that people will understand what they mean when using only some of the words.
Of course it wasn't, he horsing said it wouldn't be.Well it's not a redesigned Wii U, according to Iwata.

Probably an android tablet.
