Nintendo said that Zelda would be coming and everyone jump onto the site. It couldnt take it and it went down.
Then mario came speeding through with his kart and did some donuts on the main page.
It took a while to get him off as he had a star.

I'm guessing something along the lines of...
- A memory leak causing some kind of buffer overflow on the server, and then it bork.
- Afterwords, Mournblade texts Feld0 with a message, something along the lines of, "Ay yo Pete WUF is down again."
- Feld0 replies with something along the lines of, "K fine, hang on."
- And now we're here.
