So, I've wanted to ask this for a while, which forum software do you prefer?
IP Boards, VBulletin or PHP BB?

I really like IP boards. I have had a nice experience with it.

IP Board FTW. It has quite a few advantages over other types of forum software, such as the group messaging and the built in IP.Chat.

There are bits and pieces from IP Boards and vBulletin that I like.
