Criminal and psychological experts say they’d be surprised if investigators didn’t find evidence of psychological problems in either of the 12-year-old Wisconsin girls who allegedly tried to stab their friend to death over the weekend.

The girls told police they attacked their friend in the woods to please an internet meme called Slender Man, a fictional character who hunts children and has no face, according to the Associated Press.

The girls thought if they killed their friend, Slender Man would reveal himself, and they could prove he was real, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

I think they need help and need to be rehabilitated.

It would be poetic irony if Slender Man somehow materialized and brutally disemboweled them. Ultimately though, little more than this needs to be said:

lol, idiots.

Artfully put.

My guess is one is a psychopath and the other a sociopath. Possible they're both psychopaths though.

It's good to see kids outside playing instead of being inside with the evils of video games.

Good old fashioned fun. Like when I was a kid and a friend would get in a box and grab a garden sickle and blindly slash at the box in a game of die or not to die. WOO!

The Addams Family!

But didn't you hear? The girls did this for Slenderman, who has a video game. So this is clearly caused by that video game (even if they didn't play it) and not the fact these girls are psychopaths.

Doesn't have to be psychological issues at all.

How many times have we heard kids killing just because they wanted to in recent years?

It's probably just an excuse to kill. If they really felt "forced" they would probably at least feel regret. No sign of regret means they're probably psychopaths or sociopaths.

If you kill someone for the lols and don't regret it, you are a psychopath, which is a psychological issue.

No. Because it's a clear motive. It doesn't mean you're a psychopath. It means you are evil. Because you clearly, with all of your faculties in order, chose to carry out a horrible action.

To assume that people with properly functioning faculties would always make moral choices is incorrect.

I'm sure most people with perfectly functioning brains believe that the murderous characters in scary campfire stories are real and would kill for them if it meant they could go to their mansion and live with the murderous character. Oh, no but they're just twelve. All twelve year olds believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy and Jack Frost right? It's not like they're two years from high school or anything.

Most sociopaths are not killers or even violent. The ones that are do not need motive to hurt or kill.  They lack many social skills and do not understand another person has emotions. You are throwing out words you do not know the meaning to. The girls had a clear motive,a sociopath killer needs none.

I don't know about Jack Frost, but from what I seen 12 year olds will believe in anything if it means they get toys, chocolate, or money.

Are you kidding me? When I was twelve my classmates made fun of me for being a virgin. I'm not even joking that actually happened. Don't even start with the "they were just kids who heard about it and didn't actually know what it was"(leave the fact I knew what it was and I was the same ageone of my classmates, ironically I think her name was Chastity, even felt me up in class Either the twelve year olds you know are sheltered and extremely gullible or you don't know anything about 12 year olds. The twelve year olds I knew probably weren't standard but I doubt most twelve year olds are stupid enough to believe anything for toys. They're not even concerned with toys. At that age they're into tablets, iphones and video games. You have to realize that these kids are only three years younger than Fieryguns and Blake who I believe have been here for around two years.

I suppose. When I was 12ish it was just after 2002 so things must've changed a bit.

Riiiight... And both of them just so happened to have physical or chemical problems with their brains...

It's not like chicken pox. It doesn't just spread around contagiously. Somehow I feel the need to mention that here?

Because no minor has ever killed for the "fun" of it before right?

Methinks you need to look up events in the real world.
