Hackers was pretty well loved among hackers and power users, because it was somewhat accurate.Back in the day when everything was cyber and Ang Jol showed her tits and Sandra was in a movie about them being hackers mashing keyboards and saying "i'm in" and we alll believed that was how hacking was done. Why because it was so new we needed fake white khaki families with worse acting than dead pornstar and Jokes so bad only Joe Piscapo could laugh at.

love that movie. the sequel was a piece of c rated garbage.

Luckily I don't have to read the article because I know that in the good 'old US of A the average age of a video game player is 30+. Also, that number hides the fact players 36+ make the highest % of players at 36 percent.
Couple that with the fact 53% percent of US citizens play games makes me think this thinking is no longer valid, or going away.

Yeah, the article was rather different from what the title of this thread implied was the focus. Article is pretty right. Playing videogames over 30 makes you "weird" in society's eyes, whether you play shooters or mario. There's no real foothold for changing that stigma.

Well, that was my beef with the article, as it's using Nintendo as an example, most likely because the author felt that crowd was the easiest to pick on. That conversation he had is, like many stories, entirely crafted for the sake of fitment within the article. I'd bet money he never actually had that conversation and that response never occurred, lol
In other words, article is wrong, what I stated earlier is right...

You can play CoD without getting angry, and you can play Mario Kart with F-Bombs flying everywhere.Two gamers in my house over 30.

Ehhhh, to be fair... A lot of people are cussing the hell out of MK8 when they're playing, too... lol...
Even this sweet girl from Germany I was playing with (who I interviewed, not just some random) was telling me about how she kept cussing while we were racing, because I asked her what she was saying since I kept winning
