on the first 2 days of launch the Ps Vita sold 321, 407 units while the 3Ds sold 371,326 in its first 2 days of launch. The battery life is also confirmed to be worse then the 3Ds. What do you think? No one is making A big deal out these two facts but when it happened to Nintendo in A smaller scale everyone laughed at it

Edit: I also must mention that the 3Ds launched at A bad time near the tsunami while the Vita is laucnhing during the holidays. What does this mean if the 3Ds launch sales were still higher.

You know what time it is for you nintendo fans. Go over to those vita boys and do this

No offense to those vita fans. Just some lulz for 3Ds boys after the hate they got for launch. ;)

It's out in Japan.

Part of me hopes that the Vita does badly so Nintendo fans everywhere can be all smug about how the Vita is going to die and some such. The other part of me doesn't really care since I can't really afford to have two handhelds.

still dont see any reason to buy a vita, what good games are on it? im not going to pay loads of money just for uncharted, not worth it, i need more to convince me, and lol a worse battery life than 3DS haha pathetic if its true. im satisfied with 3DS, better games, cool 3D feature, dual screen, street pass is fun etc, the only reason to buy vita is the graphics, thats why its not selling as well. and thats japan, home of the hard core gamer, if it doesnt sell well there, then lol, gd luck sony :P

To be honest, the only game that makes me interested in the Vita is Uncharted: Golden Abyss; that is not convincing enough.
Other than that, I find it pointless for myself to get one. (The overall price doesn't help either).
I did get the 3DS at first release, but not for it's poor lineup of launch games, but because it was unique, innovative and has potential.
The only thing the PS Vita has going that is new is a rear touchpad <_< .

Now I did sound like a bit of a 'fanboy' there; I am merely just a tech-enthusiast who likes innovative hardware.

I am most certainty not going to get one then.
I also think that this is going to fail terribly because in the USA I dont know anyone who has even heard of the thing. Also they just missed the mad holiday rush and I think that it would affect the sales. So if you ask me I think that this will put a hurting on Sony. Also what good games are they going to put on there? Hmm? Also what the heck would you do with a touch screen on the BACK!??? There is little innovation here.

Not to mention all the problems that early Vita's have.
This doesn't look good for Sony...

Meh. I lost interest when I herd the memory card prices. However; my interest could be renewed with a Spyro trilogy remake like OoT3D. ;)

So far, the main thing holding the Vita back from commercial success in Japan is one thing. Monster Hunter. Right now, 3DS= Monster Hunter Tri-G now, and Monster Hunter 4 in the future. Vita=no confirmed Monster Hunter at this time. Therefor, to the Japanese gamer, 3DS>Vita. The main reason the PSP was a success in Japan was because Monster Hunter was on it and not the DS. Sony's pretty much lost it's biggest weapon here.

Hmm, I wonder how the Vita will fare without having the x-mas momentum, no Monster Hunter and Battery life worse than the 3DS...

Well, less Vita popularity means more KH on 3DS :D

I've heard different things about how Vita sales have been going... Some say that it's been doing extremely well and it's sold out in a lot of Japanese stores, but then we have this. Anyway I'll probably be getting one in a few months when it releases in the UK, the idea of a handheld with potentially almost enough power as a PS3 intrigues me.

It's not a great start for the Vita, especially given that it's been launched in the run up to Christmas. Personally though, I don't think that launch sales are overly important, as you get a much clearer picture of the consoles success after several months. I'm still undecided as to whether I want a Vita or not. It looks pretty good, but I'm not going to rush to get one. It'll largely depend on the games that are released and I'm also interested to see if the touchpad on the back will work or not.

Do you mean the original Spyro games? If that happened then I would definitely buy a Vita as those games were amazing - especially Year of the Dragon.

This is what I posted in the last post before yours <_< :

"The 3DS crumbles under the added power drain of its 3D capabilities and is the first to go at around two-and-a-half hours. The PlayStation Vita lasts to a bit under four hours, while the PSP-3000 goes strong right up through the nine hour mark."

I doubt this. I can play for roughly 5 hours, Wifi on, 3D maxed.

Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

3D only drains an extra 30min (more or less) so it isn't such a huge drain.

You mean that having to render 2 screens at once wont affect a handheld by much :o

The Vita turns off its wireless functions after 5 minutes of no use. And the PSP-3000 was using a non-standard battery.

http://venturebeat.c...was-the-winner/

(Read nick j's comment)

A more fair comparison would be to keep the wireless function of both systems off, and just leave them on the menu screens, full brightness/sound/3D/etc.
