We know part of it be about the new Film in Japan. Also be nice to see the new game but man I want a stateside release. EU got em but US has been left high and dry.

Fatal Frame presentation guests include Shigeru Miyamoto

On Thursday, a presentation will be held on Niconico for the new Fatal Frame Wii U game and related media efforts such as the upcoming movie. The event seems to be rather significant – as one would expect – given some of the guests attending. Perhaps mostly importantly, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto will be showing up for this week’s presentation. Other guests include staff from Kadokawa and Koei Tecmo, Keisuke Kikuchi (Fatal Frame series), Shin Kibayashi (the author of the manga), Mari Asato (movie director), Nakajo Ayami (actress) and Aoi Morikawa (actress).

Had fatal frame on the original xbox, what a cracking game, and can you imagine how good it will be on the wii-u, with the gamepad as the camera, can't wait.

Some hope is that the Movie is being produced by a hollywood producer so the film looking to come west to might be a partial confirmation the gae will also

I really hope this get's localized, it'll be a damn shame if I have to miss out on this game It'd also make me want wii u to get rid of region locking.

 Also September 29th is the release date? Surprised it's so soon, normally there's more of a wait after the very first look of gameplay but it's only a couple months away.

Not getting my hopes up for out of Japan release.

Fourth game never made it out of Japan and the remake only went to EU.

 

If it does well in Japan, maybe there will be hope.  If it doesn't come.. well.. it's reasons like this why people try to modify their consoles.

I think the situation for the Wii U is different from the Wii, this game will fill a needed gap for the platform. They'll probably release it outside of Japan, my bet is late 2015.

 

Edit: There's also a Hollywood adaptation of the upcoming Fatal Frame film in the works. That makes a western adaptaton even more realistic, right?

Late 2015? If they were gonna localize it why would it take so long? Games releasing in just two months and if localization was already planned (hopefully) they probably would've made quite a bit of progress already.

If localization is planned I'm guessing late 2014
