How does it compare to the first movie? Is it as good? Or not good at all? Going to porbably see it this weekend or next weekend. I thought the first was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end.

I thought it was really great.

Better than Rise imo.

Very good.
I can't wait till the next one.
I can say don't see it in 3d, there wasn't anything besides a mild depth.
But the most was great. It's completing the story and telling it well.

It's a draw.

The first one was better in terms of emotional connection and as an origin story, it was great.

The second is better in terms of pure epic scale and character development. The best cg I've ever seen as well. Much more action oriented and very clever.

If you're a dude, you'll be drawn to the second one more.

Yeah it's great, I liked it better than Rise but I do agree that the Rise had more emotional depth.

Looking forward to the next one. I wonder how many they will do?

I'm guessing it's going to be a trilogy. Anyway, I really enjoyed both of the movies. Dawn has a lot more action, while Rise is a great prequel and is necessary for the plot.
