I've been searching forever and I can't seem to find a decent place in the Central Valley or somewhere in Northern California that does classic console mods. As much as I'd like to ship them to other places, I have many consoles that need to be modded. All I can find are places that mod the modern consoles. I'd like to have some of my older consoles AV modded. Any help here?

Though some of them just mail a board or parts and you have to solder yourself.

Like Sega Saturn, Genesis Model 2 and 3, Snes original and Mini, and such. The Sega Saturn would need a region switch, whereas the others would need AV modding.

Hah, I guess those would be considered older and classic now.
Better go to radio shack and get yourself an electronics soldering iron kit (iron, not gun! 60/40 rosin! actually, heres a great starter guide for soldering concerning game consoles http://www.gamesx.co...ech/solder1.htm), some wire spools (different colors), some chips like hex converters, some capacitors and resistors cuttable breadboards (vero is nice) some lm1881 Sync Seperators... theyll tell you what you need.
Saturn single switch region mod:

AV mods on genesis is super easy. They are all pretty easy, but gen2 and 3 were supah easy.... Unlike the snes 2 that nintendo decided to remove the rgb outs for some unknown reason... you will need to solder to the mother board for snes 2...
You should set up a single 9 pin dsub reciever, that way you can use the same cable for all devices (and hook it up to any display device with a simple cheap adaptor...)
This should cover a/v mods for everything you could have. As complicated as it may seem, its really just a simple game of match the pinout display picture.

Unfortunately, most all the people i know of who would provide the service have stopped, and only offer tutorials and forum help now... Guess we all got jobs XD.
Fortunately, these old consoles are big, USUALLY simple and elegant and well built in internal design(glances at saturn internals dissaprovingly), and thus really easy to work on. Great for beginners, easy work, solid reinforcement of basics, and instant results.
