Many people will oppose this statement. I oppose it logically, but not emotionally. I wish I could think and treat animals as equals, but humans are the more advanced and intelligent. Because of this, we have the urge to continue our own survival, this includes eating animals or testing on them.I wish people didn't think this way and would see that animals are just as important as humans.
Not everyone sees life the same way and years of being superior, makes many people too callous. There is a grey line that exists, but because we are not animals, it's hard to see when we pass it, but easy to see the extremes.

And BTW, humans are classified in the animal kingdom, so technically, we are animals, so wii8461, you basically said you didn't care for the human race.

Well I heard some places do, they have been cracking down on placing like KFC that kill animals the wrong way. KFC, I think, has stopped doing that but I know they did before. And how did I say I don't care for the human race? When I say animals, I don't include humans, because a lot of times humans aren't considered animals in general (maybe in science but seriously, humans generally are not referred to as animals most of the time.)They actually don't torture the animal for the meat, it's really quick, my Agriculture teacher told me that, they just shock them and then kill them or something like that.

Purple Link, I am pretty sure in other countries they eat dogs. To get the most nuitriance from the dog they brutally torture it to get the nuitriance in the meat of the dog.
Animal testing is necessary, even if they do use "inhumane" procedures. Pretty sure the rabbit population is not going to go extinct. It is definitely better than testing on humans. We have to ask ourselves these kind questions:
"What is the line between animals and man concerning their privelages?"
Also, I think we should worry about humanity before focusing on animals. Not saying animals are un important i'm saying that we should set our priorities. Without prioritie we lose focus on what is most important: humanity. We need to address human massecre before animal massecre, as well as human abuse before we focus on animal abuse.
Well, that's just part of my thought. But I have limited time.

I'm not going to bother with the first part of your statement, but the second and third. Meat is a large part of this conversation, as most humans eat meat and animal deaths are necessary for that. Abuse isn't necessary for meat, but it is used as a common method in obtaining meat.We were made smarter than animals and are more important, so you can't put meat into this conversation. Abuse is just wrong for every organism besides Bacteria, germs, etc.
You can't contradict yourself with making abuse okay with micro-organisms. If it is okay for micro-organisms, without reasoning, then I could easily use your logic to say that it would be fine for a race of galaxy sized beings to abuse us. You need to back up your statements or they can be twisted. Did you know a large portion of these micro-organisms actually help us? Right now, there are only two known samples of smallpox that exist and there is still a raging debate about whether to let them live or die.
