POPULAR

Currently a 91 average on Metacritic.

Right now, I'm going through game forums to drink all the delicious tears of the anti-Nintendo fanboys.

Stay classy.  B)

And here's the average reviews of the game on GameRankings.

Lowest score is a 7 by Game Revolution. 3.5/5 translates to 70%.

I'm not surprised by this, the game looks incredibly true to the first one and if not better so not shocker that this game is a potential game of the year candidate.

300 gallons of salty tears.  Talk about saving the environment.  LOL  Anyhow, I'm glad that Bayonetta 2 deserves all the love and perfection.  And an overall 91 isn't all that to cry about... except joyfully.

LOL, can't believe games getting a few lower scores because they don't like how sexual she is..  How silly.

Meh, I dont feel 5 star ranking systems translate well at all like that. 3.5 seems more like an 8 than a 7 to me. Especially after reading the review.

Meh, its his opinion. Only thing that bothers me is the blatant double standard. If this is something he feels strongly enough to not just mention it, but dock points for it, he should do the same for EVERY game, which he hasnt.

Anyone who complains about the sexuality is trying to be a keyboard warrior and doesn't get that..

It's so over the top it's meant to be a joke. She's also a witch, who rips angels in half and puts sexy big boob angels on sex horses. She kicked god into the sun for crying out loud. Polygon's review reads like someone going into a strip club to get a drink they love and getting mad when there are tits everywhere.

PG won't say it directly but it's heavily hinted Bayonetta is a lesbian. Only feelings she shows is towards Jeane. In the Eyes of Bayonetta Artbook and the DVD that came with it they show and say they are roommates and that Jeane is the messy one. They never say the word lesbian and may never confirm it but they have pointed directly in games in the Eyes of and the making of DVD they are Lesbians. Not in a pornographic way but just they are a couple. So that makes a female lead character who is also gay but never shoved in your face she is. This is Nintendo's 2nd gay couple.(clowns in TP are first)

The only person in gaming who can kick Bayonetta's Ass is Asura. Other than that she is the most powerful character in gaming today.

It is the joke, that is all true. Some people may not find the joke funny, or are offended by it. They have the right to that opinion even as game reviewers. I dont see diversity in reviewer taste as a con. Metacritic itself is a much larger problem to me. As I said before though, the blatant double standard is what bothers me about this. You want to take a stand on this Arthur Gies? Ok, cool. Now do it for ALL the games you have reviewed, not just the Japanese developed wii u exclusive.

Or is it that Nintendo is the only big company who wont pressure you into giving 9's and 10's despite your opinions on sexual content?

You should see Polygon's review of Tropico 5. Dear Lord is it bad....

Hmmm... Im noticing a pattern here. It seems polygon only feels safe stating their true opinions, or using them to affect the review score, when there is no big publisher who threatens to use their leverage against them should they lower the score for it.

Sure polygon is entitles to an opinion even when it's wrong but can't hide behind just an opinion excuse. Still wrong.

I don't care about scores as I always feel numerical scores are stupid but that's a whole other issue.

But they arent hiding behind it.

Where they ARE hiding, is the fact that gtav had it way, WAY worse, they talked about how bad it was, and then. DID. NOTHING, because of publisher leverage from a giant AAAAAAAA conglomerate they did not reduce the score because of publisher leverage, they did here, because using that leverage is just something Nintendo does not do.

Lowering a review score because of your opinion on something subjective isnt a problem, even if you disagree with the opinion. Its not a problem. All reviews are, are opinions. They are literally opinions.

Lowering the score because you failed something factual, like understanding how the game works is NOT ok, because that is not something subjective.

However, giving out HIGH scores automatically CONTRARY to what is clearly their opinion, because of publisher leverage, and in essence LYING about said opinion and product in favor of AAAAAA Publisher strongarming, is ACTUAL corruption. And that is NOT OK.

Not talking about the score. I don't give a flying frak about scores. Just them trying to be keyboard warriors. It's the trend right now. Polygon is full of idiots and agenda bias idiots. Just gaming journalism as a whole is a joke.
