I no longer stand by anything that I said, but the way I see it, someone you think will destroy the forum, could potentially make a good mod, while the most tame of members could break and go on a string of crazy power abuse.

I'm saying that it's better to choose someone good, but when you give them that power, you are still leaving things to random chance.
