Man Sues Nintendo Over Donkey Kong Costume Outing

 

 

A man who says he suffered a serious heart condition after wearing a Donkey Kong ape costume at the Los Angeles Zoo has sued Nintendo.

The Los Angeles Times ( http://lat.ms/1pQ3iG8 ) says Parker Mills sued Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

His attorney, Tyler Barnett, says Mills was hired to play the ape character in May for the launch of a Nintendo 3DS game.

 

Mills claims he was denied breaks while talking to zoo guests and didn't get a required ice pack to cool him.

 

His lawsuit says a company ambassador hired to escort Mills didn't provide proper oversight.

His attorneys say Mills suffered a tearing of his aortic walls and now has a permanent heart defibrillator.

A call seeking comment from Nintendo representatives wasn't immediately returned.

 

 

What ever happened to self responsibility. He is taking the word suit way too literally. Doesn't he know, this event was for Donkey Kong Country 3DS, there are no ice packs. They only exist in Tropical Freeze.

Haha, wow. He's just now suing? Sounds like he's trying to make a quick million bucks. If it was bad enough to tear his aortic walls, he would've known when it happened. I think it would've been a news story.

Why has it taken him a year and a half to sue Nintendo? And why is he putting all the blame on 1 day back a year and a half ago for something now?

I don't know if it would make your heart explode, but I'm pretty sure staying in one of those suits in the middle of summer for hours without breaks will most likely kill you.

I think he's pass the time limited.
Why wait this long for the law suit. He should of done this that day.

As a heart patient with an ICD in my chest and knows working in a job you need and caught between in a rock and hard place and the same job ruining your heart...he should have acted sooner. I decided not to sue Kroger and just get on with my life and moved on. This man should have filed this after his first doctors visit.

Heat Stroke? That's Los Angeles. My coworker wore a Chester Cheetah costume in an air-conditioned building and he still complained about how hot it got in that suit. At a Los Angeles zoo in the middle of the day I'm pretty sure that could give you heat stroke.
