To make a long story short, my 3DS was stolen quite awhile ago by an ex girlfriend. I'm going to have some money soon, $150, and was wondering what I should get:

A) Get a 3DS XL. Best Buy has them right now for $150

B Get a New 3DS LL next year. I guesstimate they will cost about $230, which I should have by then.

C) Get some other gaming thing. I am very open minded to possibilities. Just tell me what you recommend.

D) Spend the money on going to the movies a bunch of times and ordering pizza a bunch of times. Lol.

Wait for the announcement of NEW 3DS and then decide.

I'd expect the new 3ds prices to be no more then $199 xl and a bit less for standard size.

Perhaps add to your wii u library.

For the love of gods Old and New, DO NOT buy a Vita unless you KNOW what you want from it. I did that and it's awful. I mean, I LOVE my system, but it's just...a raw deal at moments. Plus, $150 is like..Just for the system. Doesn't include the mem card, or PS+(Which is basically mandatory).

Wait for a new 3DS XL bundle that comes with a game that you want a cool design on it.

If I did get it, it'd be for Disgaea 4, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, and that new Oddworld. The system doesn't even have a modern Madden.

Two of the games you mentioned suck, and it's not Oddworld or Disgaea 4.

Isn't the new Oddworld also on Wii U?

 

Anyway, I'd wait for the New 3DS personally. 

 

Also, if your ex-gf stole it, file a police report and just get it back. Then use the $150 on Wii U games.

Kokirii - I thought Oddworld was already out on PS Vita but not on Wii U. But turns out it's on neither system right now. It's only on PS4. *sigh*

I'd either wait it out and get a New 3DS next year, or do some further research into the Vita and go that route. If you're open to Craigslist/eBay you can pick one up for ~$150 in bundle deals with a memory card, case, and maybe even a game. I absolutely love my Vita, but the games I have on it are, admittedly, not for everyone. My most played games are Persona 4 Golden and Project Diva f, lol. But there's a number of titles that I could highly recommend if you're already in the ecosystem.
