Seems like Microsoft are trying to squeeze as much out of Xbone as possible which is good I suppose.
How much effect will this have for games?

Saying that 30 FPS is "better" than 60 FPS is the most stupid thing I have ever heard game developers say...

Because putting him against all those other wimps in smash be like Atittude Era Kane vs Spike Dudley in a Hell in a Cell match. None of them would ever have a chance.

When does Xbone and PS4 get updated to allow colors in games? lol just teasing.
Pretty interesting though. Dropping the Kinect freed up some resources and now this, I am curious to see what additional benefit this might bring.

But the real benefits will be seen when dx12 is available.
eh not really. It will be negligible to a consumer Easier for developers but won't change much in performance. Software can't change hardware.
On the DX12 question, I was asked early on by people if DX12 is gonna dramatically change the graphics capabilities of Xbox One and I said it wouldn’t. I’m not trying to rain on anybody’s parade, but the CPU, GPU and memory that are on Xbox One don’t change when you go to DX12. DX12 makes it easier to do some of the things that Xbox One’s good at, which will be nice and you’ll see improvement in games that use DX12, but people ask me if it’s gonna be dramatic and I think I answered no at the time and I’ll say the same thing.”

Gamers won't see anything really. It's more along the lines of making it easier for a developer to use tools. Like oh hey this one thing only have to click on instead of that extra step I had to do in the last version. Nothing the consumer will really see for the most part.
