No mainline Mario in 2015? Think we will get a remake of Sunshine or a HD remaster of the Galaxy series?

Instead of saying 2015 you could just say this year, and what would they do any ways? The only thing I can think of would be a new 3D mario game like sunshine or galaxy, but Nintendo already said that there won't be another game like that until the next console. Maybe paper mario will be next, who knows?

Nintendo said that for their next console they want a Mario game with something new to it at launch, not necessarily that they won't make another Mario game until their next console....

Think Nintendo are focused right now on Zelda U, Star Fox and new ip's like Splatoon. Like you say there probably will be a older 3d Mario in HD this year.

I would love a new Mario asap but maybe next year?

That is what I am thinking. Without a doubt there are going to be more announcements for games this year, that we don't know about.

I wouldn't mind an HD remake of super mario 64 with local multiplayer.

Miyamoto said he wanted to go back to the galaxy series, so expect a Mario Galaxy 3.

well they keep hinting that they have some exciting announcements for the upcoming year, and they're running out of popular IPs to announce... the only series that people have een calling for other than non mainline mario are metroid and earthbound i think.

I think there's a decent chance. It's also possible we'll just see new IP's I guess,  but that would also be great. i wouldn't complain for sure.

They only come every 6, 5 or 3 years. Once or twice every console generation.

well, we have Mario Maker coming this year. I am expecting probably a spin-off game or a HD remake.

Forget about N64 support, no way they'll release Ocarina of time and Majora's mask with the 3DS re-releases.

Yeah, you're right. Forgive my ignorance, I answered like my opinion was factually which isn't the case.

 

I still think Gamecube VC is a pipe dream though.
