You are not seriously saying you never heard of Oliver? Charles Dickens? If not then I know why American Education ranks at the bottom.

It was required reading.

Nope, and America isn't the same as Canada by the way...

Why would I know about something that looks like it's from the 80's? Plus I don't really watch many movies or tv that often.

A lot of the "rare" amiibo now like Little Mac, Marth, Rosalina were only 1 month I believe. The more common figures got a longer manufactured time thus why you see them in stores, Mario, Yoshi, etc... there is just MORE of them made. I do think Nintendo clearly underestimated the other figures though.. even though not main stream... they were sold out quickly and hardly reached the shelves, if at all.

I hazard to guess they rather sell out of stock on the not so common figures then over produce and have way too many on hand.

Is that why they are offering the 2013 Platinum reward poster set on Club nintendo as an item? And still the useless greeting cards?

Yeah, but those characters got popular because of smash bros, people like to use them due to their strengths I guess :P

Charles Dickens one of the most famous Authors of all time. You never heard of A Christmas Carol aka Scrooge or a Tale of Two Cities based on the French Revolution?

The movie is The Musical version of Charles Dickens Oliver from 1960's. This world is screwed then if HS kids don't even know basic literature.

Or maybe because games like Punchout are considered all time Classics. I will grant you Marth on that one that while Fire Emblem been around since Famicom the west was mostly unaware of the series until Melee.

I've heard of a christmas carol of course, there's many different variations of it.

Yes, but most people probably just think "Oh it's Little Mac! The OP little boxer from smash bros!"

Nah Little Mac has been well known for ages and esp well known for being attached to the Mike Tyson version of it. Known for being so brutally hard very few beat it. So last 30 years people challenge themselves or others to beat Tyson. Punchout and Little Mac was never forgotton. esp since the Wii remake. I should also mention Punchout became well known for a MEME before Smash on Wii. I can't say it here for it has a racist slur. Let's just say someone of a certain decent stole his bike.

Punch Out esp was never forgotten for being the VG Rocky without the license. Being in every Pizza Joint for a time in the Arcade. No one ever forgot it. Some forget Super Punchout however. None forgot Mike Tysons Punchout.
