Oh dear, if this is true then Nintendo really don't have a clue about hardware anymore (rumour by a user with good track record).

If NX is a home console not handheld then its going to Wii U all over again. Iwata better start looking for employment elsewhere because the ship has sunk.

That's not good. WiiU wasn't too bad. Look at Bayonetta 2 or Zelda U. But NX needs to be ATLEAST as powerful as PS4, preferably more.

Yeah but because Unseen64 has a good track record (I guess, IDK and IDC) what he says should always be seen as true. 

 

 

At least that's what a lot of people seem to think. People just love to jump to conclusions, and if it's from a semi credible source, they take it as an absolute statement, ESPECIALLY when it's Nintendo, and even more so when it's something "bad" about Nintendo.

NX is a portable reworked Wii U? Plugs into the tv with a thingy like chromecast? Maybe? If not then this rumor is bull.

the only way they can make NX more powerful or equally powerful as PS4 is if they can somehow sell the console cheaper. PS4/X1 owners are not going to buy it if it is expensive.

 

As long as it's easier to develop for than the Wii U so we get third parties and it's maybe a little closer to matching PS4, then that's all you need really.

Nintendo are releasing a new system too soon anyway, they're going to need it to be considerably more powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One to really last. I'm not sure what Nintendo are thinking with their hardware, it's a real shame the 3DS was so successful considering how limiting its hardware is but of course it's not just the hardware that's the problem.
