A datamining of Splatoon August update revealed some new weapons in the Slosher and Splatling clases, full names for the new upcoming maps including Hammerhead Bridge and Flounder Heights, and a possible hint that Octolings may become playable?

At work, can't watch the vid but Octolings playable would be neat. They seem to be of only the female variety though.

i think it would be cool to have octolings playable in a "splatmatch" game mode, one team are octolings and the other are inklings

The bridge level looks cool. More level variety is what this game needs!
