Splatoon great game and deserve the award for best multiplayer of the year. The question is why are people upset about this.

Salty over AAA games like Halo 5 and COD losing. If you read the comments on the Youtube video and Reddit. Just mad the mediocre and same ol lost. Also just cool to hate on Wii U and Nintendo. That's the main reason. Some wanted Rocket League to win. Which is a fun game as well.
Splatoon also won best Shooter.
