Ikr.Yes and not to mention if they did move on to 5xxx series that will more or less confirm the ability to use DX 11 effects such as tessellation and the lighting effects in the Samaritan demo which was doubted with it using the base of 4850 because it was a dx 10 card . Isn't it amusing though we went from asking will it run the Samaritan demo to wondering if it can run the UE4 that will make the demo look like crap in about a span of a week or two because we learn how optimised the Samaritan demo is now.
The Wii U can, in theory, run the Samaritan demo.

5xxx series can give us better performance with cooler temps and more SPU..
Thats good news, because nintendo cant use direct x, as its copyright protected by microsoft, but they can use tessellation with their own platforms... equal to direct x. Only few effects are software based (direct x).. directx just use the hardware capabilities, but everybody can create their own platform and use them too... If wii U comes with more than 500 (I hope 800-1000) spu... surely we can have games with this--------> quality of graphics.. lol its a bit scary.. Also look the tessellation on it..

What?? It will be able to run it for sure.I hope it can run the Samaritan demo, if it can't then it may not be able to run unreal engine 4 which would be bad for future games
Why did they have to make him so ugly? Jeez they could of made a bit better looking person.Tessellation is a hardware feature that existed from very old cards, it is just didn’t perform very big or well, or they didn’t used it.. That means even with a 4xxx series, they have tessellation.

The general public thinks that the requirements of the DEMO equal to the requirements of the barebone code , that is so silly.
There is no single reason why WiiU can't run UE4 - the way that people look at it ist's the demo requirements and graphical detail and features that are applied on top, it's a simple thing of disabling , this is the idea of "scaling down" but not the ENGINE IT SELF , it just means disabling the features, while not making the engine less functional or crippled.
People are wrong in their context, the question should be how GOOD is going to LOOK with UE4 on WiiU and the real question should be the difference between WiiU and other consoles and PC. THAT's the actualy thing to worry about.
This freaking neogaf registration im awaiting like half a year and i contacted bgassassin in hopes he can tell admins and he says he did so see what happens, anyone having some sort of interaction please PM me, want to be on neogaf to fix misinformation sometimes, but i still can't post however i can login.
One guy finally addressed this here: http://www.neogaf.co...postcount=19154

Edit.wii U is almost confirmed that runs Unreal engine 4... And samaritan demo is unreal engine 3!!! What they said is, samaritan demo looks CRAPPY compared to what unreal engine 4 can do. Even Tre's article states that unreal engine 3.9 runs perfect on wii U, without problems! Samaritan demo is unreal engine 3 edition.. I am almost convinced that wii U will come with a 5xx series card and about 700-1000 SPU (gpu cores)

Tre what are you talking about ? Not like i think ? The evidence has been everywhere plus i have already read that article . Just saying , i didnt really understand that
Unreal Engine 3 is running on the system but Unreal Engine is not fully running on the system yet. It says something about 3.9 running on it.

yeh but you have to also consider epic being very close with nintendo on the wii u and helping them out a lot so they could have made nintendo tweak the wii u to use unreal engine 4 which im sure wouldn't cost much , and wouldnt take much effort if it runs the best version of unreal engine 3

That's the version of Unreal 3, so it is running at the latest version.

Yeah and if you go by numbers unreal 3.9 is .1 from unreal 4 so if the wiiu can overcome the .1 (it should) it will run unreal 4 (the problem is unreal runs on many versions so we don't know how many updates of unreal 4 the wiiu can run in fact what version of Unreal 3 did the 360 run ?I assume it was fully running a mid life version of unreal 3.That's the version of Unreal 3, so it is running at the latest version.
