Ideas:
Touch screen controls:
The two analog sticks would be for walking and tuning the character.
A Button for use and place of items and Craft-bench/Furnace.
B Button For Run/ possibly another use.
X Button: Multilayer check to see who is online.
Y button if they ever get it engineered to where socializing with the villagers it could be the talk button.
The back buttons: Back right button attack with sword/bow.
Left back button: Jump button. (special thanks to Mesan3 for reminding me there was a jump button. XD)
When crafting or using the furnace you can use the stylus to drag and drop like when using the computer mouse to craft.
Also when in survival mode:
your armor and character is displayed so you can keep check on your armor status in the touch screen.
Then have many buttons that you can click on to open new windows like a inventory window a Mod menu (if possible.)
Minecraft would be a hit on the Wii-U although I do like to play on the computer, but I'm a bigger Nintendo fan.
