(It's been awhile since I posted anything in here, so here you go. Enjoy. This is the kind of poem that is pretty open to interpretation. It can be taken literally, or can have a much deeper meaning. It's all about your perception of the poem though.)
Pulsing in my mind
Like an endless headache
My thoughts
No longer clear to me
Desperately making my way
Through this vast fog,
I know I have ventured too far
No longer able to escape
The path I pave on my own
For I know,
No one else can do it for me
Long winding roads
With paths taken
My past left behind
Lost,
I search...
For something
Anything
And for a moment I see a faint light
I follow it
Forging my path along the way
A distant future ahead,
And the past left long in the fog

Creating the path

I almost wrote a poem once, but I had no paper at the time, and now have forgotten it, it was about people bullying me.
Anyway, this poem is really good.

I don't have any critique, the poem is well done. It seems to be more metaphorical than it is literal, in my opinion.

I just couldn't stop thinking of Amnesia: The Dark Descent when I read this...
Coincidence?
