it really depends if rockstar or nintendo wants the game to be on wiiu.It can run it easily but will nintendo allow a game like gta to come onto the wii u and will rockstar port it after what happened with chinatown wars and realise the market for a gta game isn't on a nintendo platformi told u all before that GTA V was coming, i didnt tell u how i know, i just told u i knew

no no u dont understand, i wasnt guessing, i was telling u, i know this game is gonna be there, and how on earth can u ask "will nintendo allow a game like gta to come onto the wii u"? did u not see the ninja gaiden footage at E3, nintendo is much much more open to 3rd parties than it used to be. AND, its not going to be ported, its being developed on wii u

I don't see any reason why Nintendo wouldn't allow it. They haven't really done censorship to any significant degree since the N64 days. At this point it's only down to how Rockstar feels about the Wii U, since I'm sure Nintendo would jump at the chance to have such a big game available on their console day one.

I understand that they dont want that type of controversial game associated with thier hardware but if they cater to parents then what are the chances of them letting a game like gta come onto thier platform which is seen to be more friendly by parents and the media

Their eShop is different to their Retail sales.coughs*Binding of Isaac*coughs
They're essentially the publisher and retailer on the eShop, so they want to take on more of the responsibility when people are offended.
Retail games are only run on their hardware, so they don't really care that much.

It would probably help if it had actually gotten rated by the ESRB. That's a HUGE turn-off for gaming companies...and it's already been turned down from the PSN/XBLA, so don't act like Nintendo is the only one doing it.
...not to mention the fact that it's rather suspicious that the dude that made Binding of Issac hasn't gotten it ESRB-rated already? Obviously there's something he's worried about there.

That was due to religious controversy, and to be honest that's something that no company wants to deal with, not just Nintendo. Besides, I think the E3 Ninja Gaiden footage with people being literally sliced in half should have dismissed any concerns that Nintendo is a "family oriented" company at this point.

sorry i find the binding of isaac completely irrelevant, that is a whole different level. my point still stands that ninja gaiden is being allowed, and shown at E3 on the big screen, and so is the darkness 2, and i repeat, im not guessing it, im telling u, that game will be on the wii u

Independent developers ain't got the money to be throwing thousands of dollars at a ratings board for a game which may not be published since publishers change their minds every five seconds.

Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all have a policy that they won't let games with the AO (Adults Only) rating on there systems. If the content of the game is as questionable as I've heard it is, and it has yet to be rated, I wouldn't touch it either if I was in their position. If the game was given a rating of M or bellow, The Big Three would be far more willing to allow it on there systems. What does the ESRB have to do with anything?
