I was looking at an earlier topic and saw metal gear rising for the wii u list.Sure the wii u can run it,and sure most metal gear games eventually come to nintendo platforms but looking at the trailer of it at e3 It seems to make a perfect sense of using wii motion plus for the gameplay if it's coming to the wiiU.It's comback is very similar to skyward sword which is really the only game that proved that motion control can be far superior and more immersive than traditional controls. So what are your opinion?

My opinion is people don't think it's cool to move while playing video games, so a game like Metal Gear doesn't suit motion controls.

It'd be cool, but they'd have to entirely reprogram the game to have Skyward Sword style motion controls. SS was built from the ground up for that gameplay, but MGR is a multiplat game designed for button control. So I'd prefer for them to just stick with the Wii U pad and give us some cool extra touch screen stuff.

When Sony did it is my guess.

JK, they never were, they're too fun to be cool.

Skyward Sword is well and good but Wii sports Resort swordplay controls would suit Metal Gear Solid Rising more because in that game the sword is weightless and Raiden being a cyborg has super strength. The problem is the E3 2010 Metal Gear Solid Rising is a old build and was scrapped in favour of Platinum Games Metal Gear Solid Revengeance which would not work with Wii Remote plus at all.

Those trailers looked cool, but that doesn't seem like classic MGS game play...

Exactly... what happened to evasion, hand-to-hand combat, and sneaking skillz? This looks more like first-person sword slicer. lol

Thats because this isnt metal gear solid which is the version of the series that features sneaking evasion and most importanly Solid snake. This is metal gear rising a completly different take on the franchise

This is from the MGS wiki page concerning the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection:

In one of the rooms on the second floor of the Graniny Gorki Lab in Metal Gear Solid 3, a magazine can be found on a desk advertising the HD remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 in Dutch. The magazine hints that Metal Gear Solid 3 may be ported to the Wii and PC; however, this is merely speculation due to the content on the cover.

Perhaps they could do another collection for Wii or WIi U with The Twin Snakes and the control enhancements of Snake Eater 3D incorperated into all the games.

A scene near the start of one of those trailers reminded me of sword play in wii sports resort.
when you're cutting the logs and stuff, except they're people.

I'm kind of disappointed. I wanted a more Metal Gear Solid type gameplay.
