Would you guys really be ok if its only 2 times more powerful than 360?

Even if it was only the power of a PS3 or a 360, I'd still buy it. It has Nintendo's IPs in glorious HD? I'm in.

I would still buy it, I am still planning to buy a PS4 next gen with my Wii U so I should be happy.

Well go with the Console you enjoy the First party games the most, or just get a PC the third party games are going to look way better on it then the next Xbox or PS 4.

TRON has a point, not everybody wants to get a gaming PC, also Nintendo really need to have strong 3rd party support if the console is to sell really well.

I'm going to be really dissapointed if it's barely more powerful then PS3/360. To see Nintendo slacking off and not even bothering with hardware is kind of disappointing after how impressive the N64 and GameCube were in that regard. I want the Wii U to be my primary console next gen, I don't want it to just be a dust-collector I turn on once every few months to play the newest first party release. I know the GCN didn't get much in terms of multiplats, but it got enough for it to be my main console last gen, and often I'd buy the GCN version of a game even if the PS2 version had online or extra content. With the Wii I just couldn't do that because it was in a completely different league than 360 and PS3. I just feel that Nintendo is kind of degrading themselves by backing out of the main console race. They could have done so much more with the Wii this gen and I really hope they make up for it with Wii U.

2 times means 100% more ... that's not enough at all - those were the early kits, and we don't even know what were they saying as "powerful" ... RAM , CPU power ... it's really a waste of time trying to get specifics out of very non-tech rumors.

Agreed. Exactly. For all we know that dev could've been talking about 2x the clock speeds on the CPU. Or 2x the RAM. Basically, you really can't determine what the 2x is. And that report was a RUMOR anyways, we've had actual quotes from devs saying the Wii U is decently powered. Epic is happy with the Wii U. I don't think they'd be happy with a console that couldn't run UE4, that wouldn't make any sense.

Wii U is confirmed it will be 10x more powerful then current gen.

I always only brought one console per gen. That's just me. I'm not going to pay that much money on gaming. One console so that's why nintendo has to make sure I can do ALL my gaming on Wii U.

Me too. {}-Opinion ()-Other consoles I played a lot.
4th Gen: Genesis {Very Fun}
5th Gen: Skip (Played PS1 a lot but didn't like it)
6th Gen: PS2 {Pretty Good ad Fun} (played Gamecube with friends it was very fun)
7th Gen: Wii {Pretty Good and Entertaining}
8th Gen: WiiU
