According to this, the Wii U console will cost $180 o make, the controller will cost maximim $59 to make, NFC costs $5 to implement, and Wii U will be atleast $300 when it launches(although anyone could've guessed that).
Since this obviously isn't confirmed by Nintendo, take this with a grain of salt. Do you think its true?

If not then no, because their PM would be about 18% before what retailers keep. Of course, my calculations assume a $300 price tag. The article says at least 300, so I'm guessing the actual price will be closer to $400.
In general, its good to have at least a 25-30% PM after retailers collect on each unit sold. (Though I'm not sure what's "normal" or acceptable in the video game industry).

I see marketing strategy behind this daily posts..So it has nothing to do with developers, and they are bad marketing freaks.. probably are the ones who worked for AMD.. hahahahaha with buldozer.. (remember? they fired them all) Its not fanboism its marketing..
Put all this anonymous articles down with dates and leaks.. and check their strategy..

A controller might cost $75-$85 maybe?
That seems a bit generous actually, kinda, not sure. ($75)
I don't really know much about the controller, to be honest, so I can't give a good estimate.
I'd still buy it like the fanboy I am.
Actually, I'm forever alone, so no need.

this article is bad, as the others.. they tell us here that wii U is old hardware and it cost them nothing. It comes to complete the rumors about wii U is less powerful than 360 and ps3.. so dont read it.. its stupid.

Actully the article says the Wii U is on par with the 360/PS3, so that would destory the already fake rumor.
Anyway the article came from a random site with no sources just say they have sources that are connected to Nintendo, I'm thinking this site wants views so they make up a bad rumor about the Wii U and get views from it because they saw how much views the other fake rumor got from Gamingindustry.

However, I'd buy on day one without breaking a sweat for $300.

As for the Price of a Controller meh. You will get 1 with the system so you will only need to buy 1 more tablet controller. Since last I heard 2 was the most the Wii U could handle. I would say that 2nd tablet would be no more then $50.
