Since this is something from nintendo - the game could be first party ... this might not exclude retro studios as the developer.

Remember the F1 car might just be the template ... they might change the actual car with something else or something similar in somewhere else doesn't have to be a real life F1 game.

The important piece is that the commercial is showing HIM driving something with his controller, not him being in the F1 car so the game could be anything and this ... something smells fishy, or my name is stinky lulu, and thank goodness it's not.


While i won't be disappointed if it's some F1 simulator and a good new innovative game ...

but still... multiple tiny lights ... sci-fi ...

Well, it links perfectly with that rumour of Nintendo wanting an exclusive racing game on their side like how Playstation has Gran Turismo and Xbox with Forza.

If this is true, I think the most likely explanation is an F1 2012 game for the Wii U. I can't see Sebastian Vettel filming a trailer for any other racing game and the only game his proper F1 car would appear in would be an F1 game. It doesn't sound like the most reliable source though, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

Nintendo could be doing an all around racing game like Gran Turismo, so the game can also include F1 cars. If they are not why is Nintendo making a commercial for Code Masters.

This whole rumour about a racing game just seems really off. When does Nintendo ever create realistic simulation games? It seems like there would have to be some twist that we haven't heard about yet.

Yeah it's that new rivaling game thingy, which I hope will be F-Zero. I'm not a fan of it, but it would please fans and it's cool to see a franchise returning.
