Apparently Sony is reporting to shareholders A 6.4 billion dollar loss & that's 34% of the company as A whole, way more then what Nintendo lost during " financial troubles " last year. To top it all off the Vita is still selling at A loss & selling poorly. Could this be the end? rumours of 1 of the big 3 to stop making consoles are pointing more fingers at Sony

eh i don't think Sony will ever stop making consoles. i can see them possibly taking a break while the ps vita try's to earn its value back though

I was surprised, they actually talked about Sony's losses today on the news. Normally they only talk about Research in Motion's problems.

Last time I checked, Nintendo did very well even when they held a monopoly.

I do actually kinda feel sorry for Sony. I mean, I grew up with the PSone and PStwo. I'd hate for them to die (is that the right word?)
I'd rather have Microsoft leave then Sony because I have one and never play on it. The console is just plain boring and you have to pay for everything. Plus, I would love Sega to make a new console, that would be kinda awesome.

The spin in the industry is so ******* ridiculous at this point.

Nintendo sell millions of 3DS, faster than DS sales launch year-on-year, but because they're not matching height of sales on DS, they're doomed.
Sony sells a pitiful amount of PSV's and they're selling brilliantly!
Nintendo reports it's first year loss in it's entire history of a measily few hundred million, and they've got one generation left - doomed.
Sony reports a loss in billions every single quater for the past few years and they're okay.

They are doomed, in my opinion.
Sony products don't carry the weight they used to.
Their TV's just don't seem as good to people compared with Samsung's superb LED series, and other cheaper brands.
And that's their main business, alongside specialised consumer devices (a camera that only takes pictures for example) which sales are declining in every year.

Agreed MoH plus if any of the big three were to drop out they would get replaced by apple, Google, or valve their will never be a time when its is just a one console race or even two.
