Yea I understand. Though I still think in both a consumer and business point of view trying to differentiate between the console and company will be a hassle.

nintendo 1080 sounds bettar

I like the idea of wii 1080 because I'm a gadget freak but Nintendo like to market products as family friendly and sociable hence the wii name. wii U is we-you again hinting at the sociable side of gaming. I would of thought they would keep to this as it worked so well for marketing the original wii. Its pretty clever marketing to be honest and although Nintendo is so called attempting to win back the hardcore gamer with this console I think they have bactracked on that a bit and really its a continuation of the casual gaming approach that has worked so well for them. Yes the wii U is a much more capable console but ultimately I think its not aiming to be the console of choice for first person shooters or realistic racing games etc which will probably continue to be Xbox and playstation consoles.
