Those are some very valid and wel thought out points. I'd have to agree, i can't see Nintendo or any of the others doing that. Perhaps to make a cross-console game, but even that's unlikely.

this will never happen . i also hope it doesnt . mixing all the consoles means nintendo wont be able to control most of the features. nintendo and sony i dont mind but microsoft annoys me with their stupid xbox live gold payments(otherwise you have almost no online features with silver). i just really hope wii u has a superior online to xbox live because i know nintendo treats thier customers right and microsoft doesnt . plus nintendo is always reliable. Im guessing nintendo network on wii u is free because i dont see a reason to charge people . same with xbox live . you pretty much are paying 60 dollars a year for party chat. just think about that

Why do we even debate this in the first place? This is kinda like asking for world peace. If countries don't cooperate then why should gaming companies?
