This is a piece of music I wrote as part of a Secret Santa I'm involved in. It's for Elemental Ninja, who isn't a member here (yet, at least :lol:). I think it turned out rather well, particularly considering how spontaneously I wrote it. The only reference material I had when creating this was a picture of one of EN's characters - not exactly the most helpful when you're trying to compose music. I ended up making said picture into the piece's cover art, as you can see below.

That black yoshi's name is Ninjoshi Hiroto, and as you can probably guess, he's a ninja. I'm not too clear on his backstory, though; so EN, if you're reading this, please forgive me if something in the music doesn't quite click with his character.

Critique is very much welcome!

On a side note, how do you guys feel about using this forum to post art, music, and other creative things that don't necessarily have anything to do with the Wii 2?

And I wouldn't mind letting this forum be used for creative things...
But it might get a bit crowded, so perhaps separate it into a sub-forum?

The music is cool, a very macabre start then it gets going, makes the character seem like one of the ninjas who sweep across the roofs of houses no problem. Very, "I can walk across a nightingale floor without being detected" like.

And yeah that would be a great idea.

Glad to hear you guys like the music. I whipped it up in just two days.

@EK: I have a habit of writing my music that way: starting with a slow part and then jumping into something faster. I've never done anything quite as fast as this, though; there are a whole lot of measures in there for just two minutes of music.

By the way, I've created the "creative stuff" subforum and moved this there.

Appearently, you write music like I write poems - well... poemoids, at least. ;P
Though, for my Santee's gift, I made some research on the person himself.
I consider it more specific to include things from the creator, and not just the character himself. You might want to think about that next time, especially if you have so little character info.

Yes! You picked up on it! I was actually waiting for someone to say that. My inspiration for the first part did, in fact, come primarily from Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

@FS: I know I could've been a little less lazy with my research; but it was two days before Christmas when I began to work on this, so I didn't really have much time to do any.
