666 doesn't even mean anything. It's just a number. The premise of this thread is completely ridiculous, you can't trademark a letter. Plus people aren't so stupid that they can't tell the difference between Nintendo and Sony - even non-gamers.
EDIT: Oh and it's my 666th post lol
Bleh eh eh.

I think you underestimate the stupidity of some people. The premise of this thread is completely ridiculous, you can't trademark a letter. Plus people aren't so stupid that they can't tell the difference between Nintendo and Sony - even non-gamers.

Notice how the ™ symbol appears at the end of "Xperia", and does not include the U.
Also notice how Sony does this with all it's brands.
This would have been a conflict in trademarks had Sony actually trademarked the U, but they didn't.

You can and you can't.I'm rather certain that nobody can actually trademark the letter U.
Either way, it's not like everybody that has "U" in their product name is going to sue the pants off of Nintendo. It's ridiculous.

You can and you can't.
You can trademark the way a letter appears.

I no understand last sentence11111for marketing purposes, we can say, this is a movement to downgrade the upcoming wii U..
Nintendo creates a WII trademark U
Sony creates a mobile.. Xperia trademark U
its more like.. Nintendo will name the new handheld DS orbis.
for marketing is a nice trick to... downgrade psychologically ur competitors product. Maybe I am wrong.. who knows.
ps: and its a quintessence for this advert to appear on youtube before E3?
