IGN Asked an official Nintendo of America representative who gave them a response, not a simple "yes/no" answer.it's co-developed by panasonic and no, we're still not sure, IGN source and a poor wikipedia source based on speculation from a random tech site
And this is a MONSTROUS coincidence I checked this forum today and posted a reply just moments ago I wouldn't saw this otherwise.
