Alright so "Paul" from the "Paul Gale Network" confirmed that the game was FAKE! This was his statement,"…the idea of Star Fox and Metroid crossing paths in a more unified Nintendo universe represented but one of several potential team-up projects that Nintendo has been considering." So we only have 6 more days for E3 and this just SCREAMS that the game that Retro Studios is working on is indeed Star Fox. But those are my predictions. But what do you guys think?

It's not fake, it was an idea they toyed with, but it was decided not to work on it.

Yeah, this entire concept just sounded stupid. I'm really glad it never went anywhere.

I don't understand why everyone hated this concept. I was really looking forward to it.

Because it sounded like they decided to combine two series whose only similar characteristics is that they both involved space travel.

It's like combining Pikmin and Pokemon, it just doesn't work.

I never belived it for a second. It was a terrible idea. As for Retro's game Im sticking with Starfox. And people who say leave starfox to Platinum well im not to familiar with Platinum and I LOVE Retro Studio's, they deserve to revive Starfox.

Seemed like an odd idea from the jump.

CoD teaches us that people don't want new things, they want the same thing every year.

Pikemon would work.

Just think Olimar=Trainer with Pikmin to help on the journey and he fights battles with Pokemon.
It would work but it would be a stupid idea.

Metroids with Metroids and Star Foxs with Star Foxs. Kidding.
But seriously, I wasn't too convinced that this would work well either.
I much rather see a Metroid + Epic Games collaboration (UE4).

Or we don't want complete crap that shouldn't be going together in the first place.

It's like making a Zelda and Mario crossover, it just wouldn't work.

I just think that if they really wanted to cross Nintendo franchises, there's better options out there. Just because they're both in outer space doesn't mean it's a match.
Each game has entirely different tones, IMO, and Star Fox still needs room to expand in as a franchise in overall epicness. It's gonna need one good game on it's own. Assault wasn't enough.
