I'm betting right now that the controllers for PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 will have built-in microphones.

Obviously... Sony and Microsoft always copies Nintendo. I wouldn't even be surprised if this happens.I'm betting right now that the controllers for PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 will have built-in microphones.

It would be cool if it could have some kind of voice recognition/Voice command feature.
It's amazing how the the human mind does not process the the fact I used the word "the" twice in a row in this sentence.

but with this theyll need to be earbud compatible and maybe headset compatible if people want a more prosice (cant spell it) or if people use the wiimote or any other control scheme

I do hope, however, you are able to hook a headphone/microphone headset into the WiiU controller.

Having a microphone on a controller would be very handy indeed. I'm just hoping that it would clearly recognise my voice without also picking up the sounds of my controller 'clicking'.

You can see a USB port on the controller from the third picture on this Nintendo page. http://e3src.nintend.../#/introduction So at the very least, I think we'll be able to plug in a USB mic/headphones/headset.

It may be better if Nintendo actually adds a port into the controller that allows a headset to be plugged in. So you don't need to stretch the cord all the way to the console itself.
Who does that anyways? I think we all be better off with a WIRELESS headset...

That's actually an HDMI port, not USB. Makes me wonder what exactly Nintendo have up their sleeves with this thing. You can see a USB port on the controller from the third picture on this Nintendo page. http://e3src.nintend.../#/introduction So at the very least, I think we'll be able to plug in a USB mic/headphones/headset.

Mass Effect 3 on the WiiU? I'd kill to play that. Imagine having the power wheel always up on the touch screen so it wouldn't have to interrupt the flow of battle. But unless the WiiU version comes out almost right after the 360 version, there is no way I could wait for it. I need my epic finale now!Well now Mass Effect 3 on the Xbox 360 uses Kinect to tell your teammates where to go and the Mass Effect 3 creator said he can imagine all the cool things that the new controller for Mass Effect 3 and that he'll announce something later, probably Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U. Then they could use the built in microphone to mimic Kinect's microphone. Also in the Ghost Recon Online trailer they were using voice chat without headsets so I's say it's pretty much confirmed.

HDMI? You mean, as in High-Definition Multimedia Interface? What? I don't know what you're implying, that's it's not wireless? It's not a HDMI port. It's most likely for something like a nunchuck.
edit:
On closer inspection I think it is... but what would it be used for?
