Those graphics aren't THAT bad. I'd say it's because it's only early in development. A few tweaks can happen until it's launched.

Lose yourself in battle, and rejoice
After War there is Death ~ Goddess Palutena, victory is ours
Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

That's just a generic Zombie game they picked out, it's not an actual Wii U game from what's being spread across the internet.look at this screens from the nintendo direct, they look pretty bad, i hope its because its in early state of development

Nintendo must know that the graphics must blow away people or at least the gaming experience should. We've seen that the NSMB game has a lot of detail and most importantly, it actually has colour. I don't know how much they can fit in an hour but hopefully they are able to make this E3 go well.
MS and EA were poor, and can we make it three good conferences in a row?
EDIT: I really hope that the game isn't Zombi U since Killer freaks looked better than whats in those screen shots

with all the hype about Nintendo's graphics being superior, Nintendo would be stupid to not use good graphics. As we saw from the Zelda E3 demo, the system is capable of this.Nintendo must know that the graphics must blow away people or at least the gaming experience should. We've seen that the NSMB game has a lot of detail and most importantly, it actually has colour. I don't know how much they can fit in an hour but hopefully they are able to make this E3 go well.

I have no doubt E3 will show us excellent graphics.
also, EA's press conference was more than poor.

But it would be nice if they blew the PS360 out of the water, if only to shut PS360 fanboys up, and even get some of the tech-heads to just calm themselves down.
The post above was certified to be simply smashing by the Wii U Forum Staff.

1.5GB system memory, 32MEG dedicated video memory. No idea of mhz speed, memory bandwidth, polygon output etc but something to go on if true.

OH MY GOD.. IN 30 MINUTES THE SHOW BEGINS!! OH MY GOD... HEHEHEHE... I did the same thing when I bought super nintendo... I cant remember the exact year.. 92-93-94.. about that.. I was in pre-high school at that time. I remember that denyed to place the console in a bug, when I bought it, and I went hope keeping it in my head, like in africa.. the way they move stuff.. HAHAHAHAHAHA ...I was so exited.
I was about... 13-14 years old at that time..

but i do agree with eskimo_sam, although highly unlikely to be on par, as it would kill of nintendo to do so, the console needs to defy space and at least give way to good 1080 instead of the wierd maybe 1080 thats been rumored around
optimization is really key, so graphics just may be new, and economy means no game is really meeting the top graphical capabilities
for example, i just dual booted my tablet with webos and android, for both, there is a version of gun bro's
android version, despite partial emulation for android, ran smootly, the webos version though is such a bad port that the game runs laggy all the time
if the wii u games at launch are looking like ps3 out of the starting line, then it could easily mean there is some untapped power left to be used, as half the titles are lazy ports like mass effect and assas creed.
course, these graphics were... ok for me, i feel there should have been the slightest more graphical showoff in e3, as nothing was really shown off.
maybe they were good, its just that mixing casual with hardcore graphics still made the graphics silly, that might of been nintendo's mistake

Im still somewhat clueless about the graphical capabilities, something that most consumers should be aware of by now, as it IS a driving force to many people when it comes to purchases. Considering the console is just months away, i really dont know what the Big N is waiting for.
