Not sure how many noticed, but I just did. On IGN there were a lot of secret E3 games listed for tomorrow (June 7th). And now the one at 5 PM Pacific time says "Nintendo Game!! (TBA)"
What do you think it will be? Wii U? 3DS? I hope I didn't miss something important that already gave it away.

a full blown 3ds zelda would be amazing but im hoping for one big game to carry the wii u on its launch.

Even though I don't have a 3DS, a new Zelda game on it would certainly push me to consider getting one. But I also want a great first party Wii U launch title. Hmm.

My only concern with this is that if Nintendo was doing the best possible lineup for it's press conference and if this was a major Nintendo franchise why wasn't it announced there?

Hopefully it's for Wii U, Nintendo really needs that "But wait there's this last title you need to see" and they didn't show that at there conference, if Nintendo is smart and is listening to all the disappointement they gave at there conference then this better be a core Wii U game that nobody expected but everyone wants.
I won't get hyped though, I learned I can get disappointed huge time.

Maybe the game is literally called "Nintendo Game!!"
