Then why does it say third party games sell the best on Nintendo systems? lol.

The assumption is likely based on more hardcore games, than casual ones. Of course any typical Wii party or fitness game is going to sell well simply because of the huge install base of Wii owners who, quite simply, don't know any better and have a tendency to buy more shovelwarey games. But, the question is, does a game like The Conduit, No More Heroes, or Madworld sell on the Wii? And would they sell better on the 360 or PS3 perhaps, which is part of what puts 3rd parties off of the idea of Nintendo exclusivity?
The sad fact is, Nintendo themselves do have a near monopoly on hardcore games when it comes to the Wii. That never seemed to be the case with DS however, and the same with 3DS, so we just have to hope that 3rd parties will see much more success on Wii U and be more encouraged to invest in games for it in the future.

Xenoblade is only around a month or two old, unless you live in a country other than the US. If so please ignore the stupid American. Lol.that's usually the fault of the third parties, they don't advertise, i never once saw an advert for monster hunter tri on the wii, i only discovered its existence a few weeks ago and i really want it, just one example, same with xenoblade, i bought it as soon as i found out about it, but that was a year later than it launched (i know xenoblade is nintendo but the analogy works)

No shovelware is when a developers half a$$ develops a game and rushes the product to market to try and make a profit.
