That mockup is awesome. I personally would love a Metroid game on the Wii U. I think it's a series that would actually benefit very much from a system that can deliver photorealistic graphics.

In an interview with Kotaku Nintendo developer Katsuya Eguchi told them this

“I can not give you any details yet but I’m sure there will be a new Metroid, which will use the new controller, not just to control Samus and her ship but also to give players a variety of information. While the player looks at the screen, it could very well have the information needed to defeat his enemy hands. “

If the real thing looks like that mockup, I'll definitely want it. The graphics on that are beautiful!

Meh, that mockup actually looks pretty bad.

But I know an HD metroid would be absolutely amazing. I'm hoping for a prime though, because I believe retro should be in charge of metroid.

Hello, I am Roy.

I hope they put Retro in charge of the next Metroid project... nothing against Team Ninja or anything, they did a good job with Other M, but Retro really understand how to make great Metroid games.

Boy do I look forward to something like this... The Other M Samus was a bit of a train wreck (sooooo sensitive), but there's no arguing with the Metroid style, and this is a franchise that could get a lot of mileage from the HD treatment.

As for Retro... man, I've been crossing my fingers that Miyamoto-San will toss Star Fox their way. The thought alone sends me into delirious rapture.

I love me some Metroid, i can't wait to play it in HD. That mockup appears to have been done in UDK or just a mod for UT3 an actual HD Metroid would probably look quite different.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

I really want a good online Metroid FPS, best launch title ever. I also think it's something that'd work really well.
