Nintendo has confirmed retailers listing Wii U games around the $100 range "are using fictitious prices".
They just don't know the price of games yet but want to make sure people who do any preordering aren't told "oh and by the way we need you to hand us $20 more so you can buy this game" they would rather tell people. "oh by the way we overstated the price on that game and it's not actually that expensive so you can keep that $20" $100 is a little overkill, but that's the basic concept

As for gamestop, they should be thankful for wii U, as all this companies exist because of used games..

Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

No one knows the prices yet, all prices you see until Nintendo releases an official number are place holders for pre-orders. New Wii U games should remain around the price of new Wii games.
True, but as Game Delevopment costs go up, Retail Games will increase in Price. This goes for all 3 Companies Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
