It depends if your parents are gamers or not. If they aren't gamers, they won't care. But to the average gamer, they would notice a big difference between Battlefield 3 PC and Xbox 360. I can't stand to play the PS3 version anymore because it's so laggy and horrible looking. It's not optimized for consoles.

sorry i disagree, i think the average gamer can't tell the difference, only core gamers notice the difference and there aren't enough core gamers for nintendo to focus their advertising campain on graphics instead of gameplay for. the few hundred thousand people who pretend to notice the difference are the same people who thought darksiders 2 had wii graphics cos they knew they were watching wii u footage (which they actually weren't). but people who trully trully see the difference between pc and ps3 are few.

I don't know about that. I can spot the differences easily, but I've been playing video games since... um... How long has it been since the NES? In all those years I've seen consoles evolve from simple 8-bit graphics to the 3D eye-candy we enjoy today. Still say the SNES was the best console ever.

I was really scared for the console's launch but now it looks like Nintendo knows exactly what to do. *Ali, why did you doubt, it's Nintendo*...

I'm not going to dispute anything you're saying about the Wii U, but c'mon, there's a TON of people/gamers that care about graphics. The reason why so many people still play the PS2 out there in the general public is likely driven much more by economic factors than preference. You don't need great graphics to enjoy a great game...but these are VIDEO games we're discussing...graphics play a huge role in the immersion factor for most players.

but then again alot of fuzzy black and white movies have better elements than alot of new movies
