I have started a few topics today; I am pretty bored and find myself just searching the web for WII U news like 20 times a day. So, Why not post some stuff. So, 2 weeks ago I went to GameStop with a buddy and saw all the WII U stuff and he had NO clue what this even was. I explained it and the sales guy did to. I went back with another buddy a few days later and another guy working basically told my friend this system is simply Nintendo’s version of the 360/ps3 with a tablet. I was not happy with that. Most of my friends don’t know much about this system and all they hear about is how the graphics are “on par” with what we see today. Not something that regular gamers really want to hear. If you were trying to sell this product to your friend and explain why this system will kicks ass, what would you say?? What makes this system the future and a MUST buy?

i have already convinced many friends that are normal and not one sided of course lol.

its more powerful, it has nintendo games with most to all of ird party support, it will be just as powerful or even more powerful than the new xbox, the laucnh games have built in dlc that only will be released for wii u so its saving your money along the way, the touchscreen controller does so many new things its awesome.

btw the employee said its a 360 or ps3 with a new controller? LOL WHHHHHAAAAAT? lol

well you shouldve said, " actually it runs 1080p easily which 360 or ps3 can barely even imagine, it does tessaltion which makes objects smoother and crisper and cant be done on previous consoles, it has all your favorite nintendo games along with the best ird party support, better online than xbox and playstation could ever dream of, and a much more integrated achievements system."

Lol! A lot of people that work at GameStop, I've noticed, aren't that smart. I have only encountered a few that are.

Totally an example:
All of K's friends play Xbox 360 or PS3 and don't like Nintendo. One of K's friends has a Wii and a 3ds and does like Nintendo. K can and does tell his friend all about the Magnificent wonders of the Wii U. But do you want to know why he got his friend to get a Wii U?

Because nobody he knows would have gotten it and he would have no one to play with.

It would be hard to convince a friend to get a wiiu as you trying to convince them will make them naturally get defensive as its human nature to do so, in their minds your saying the system they bought 8-1 years ago sucks and was a waste of money. To their mind its bulling as your getting them out of their comfort stop and trying to apply pressure to change their thoughts which will only cause them to have a deeper hatred to you and the thing you trying to make them get.
This could be applied to almost any situation and even reverse if lets say they are trying to convince you to get a 720 it will likely cause you to feel the same way as I described above.

I have no idea. Only one of my friends is as excited about this thing as I am. I tried to convince a few of my friends who are Xbox fans about it but they (jokingly) just say, ''I already have a 7th gen system''. And my other friend is aware of the Wii U but doesn't really care. I'm hoping that between now and the ''Holiday Season'' they change their minds. The more friends I have to play on there with the better

Ok shakespeare, here is one for you. Thou shall not convince thy friends through persuasion, thou shall state the unique features of this new brilliant device. And thy friends will naturally grow an acute taste for the new features and wish to purchase one for themselves. It is only human nature to wish for what only the stars can give.
So don't try to convince them. Just state the facts when the conversation is brought up. But don't say "hey you should buy one" cause it gives them all the power to say negative things. Keep the power. Beat them up before you state the facts. JK
