Or if you find you're in multiple classes with the same group of kids (honors classes etc) it may be good to try and say hi, find something in common, etc. My whole time at highschool I knew the same 30ish kids on a name/face basis because we shared honors classes. Usually if you try and start a conversation about something in common the person won't be a jerk... unless they're a jerk. Then not worth knowing anyways. Either that or they're cranky lmao.

I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect

Dont try to make friends right off the bat, believe me. Sit back for a week or 2 and just listen to people talk and find what click is best fit for you personality and you should fit right in don't change to fit a group, that leads to bad things...
That is good advice.

Be confident!!!! this does not mean be aggressive/assertive, it simply means confident.
Be kind, people love a nice guy, they can't bring it upon themselves to hate a polite positive person. if you're nice and NOT confident at the same time yoou will appear vulnerable and will get picked on.
As for making friends, jump into conversations you can relate to, dont start a random conversation with a random person about a particular hobby like gaming or something. just wait until you find someone talk about it first, then jump in.
Be a yes man!! say yes if you're offered something (as long as its not drugs XP) i mean like if you're invited to play football, just play, even if you suck, they prefer you play than shy away.
Best of luck to ya bro!!!

I met my gf, Sushi for those who know her ,at my last job. We Were both PC repair technicians and our common interests brought us closer together. Opposites attract is BULL. If you have no common interests how can any friendship or relationship thrive? They cant.

If people see you are willing to participate, people are going to notice you and want to socialise with you.
