Microsoft is the biggest jerk of the console wars. No wonder why Rare lost all the founding members. I love the AoE series, and who knows what Halo Wars could of been...other than mediocre. I also can see why Bungie Left Halo to Microsoft...the cost of being free eh?

It's not a surprise really. Of any company to have ever participated in the console market, Microsoft is undoubtedly the worst. I put the blame on the general mindset that most western video game publishers have. EA, Activision, Microsoft etc, they're all usually very conservative and absolutely unwilling to take risks for the sake of innovation, business opportunity or just bringing out a quality game for their system. They like to go where the money is 100% guaranteed rather than doing something bold and trying to make a profit out of an idea someone hasn't done before or which hasn't been done in a while, like Nintendo/Sony/Sega in their hardware days.

Then again, Sony certainly seems to be heading in this direction too lately. Shutting down Zipper Interactive and SCE Liverpool over the course of a few months for instance. A real shame to see how little respect some devs get these days. -_-

We are in a dark time of gaming, with all these devs closing up. I really hope next generation helps solve some of the problems that we've been running into this gen. Unfortunately it probably won't.

Be wary, the suck is coming.

Nintendo and Valve are really the ones moving forward. I have hope for the future with Nintendo and Steam.

RTS + Console = trash

It's not that at all. An RTS can be awesome on a console, but the awkwardness of the controls overshadows everything else. I problem the Wii U gamepad can fix
